Description
These delicious velvet shoes also called scarpeth or scarpet or shoes or friulane or papusse in Venice, have now become an object of desire! They were born in ancient times in the mountains of Friuli, like the Sunday shoes of the humblest people and were handmade by women using recycled materials: leftovers of cloth, jute bags, used tires of bicycles. The tradition has continued, the shoes are always hand-stitched with great skill by women, the materials are the same as they used to be, but new and for the tomaia velvet is used. The ones we have chosen are the faithful copy of the ancient ones.
